What To Expect On Your First Visit To The Newbury Chiropractic Centre
The initial Chiropractic consultation will last approximately an hour. This time is needed for your Chiropractor to take a detailed case history about your presenting symptoms and we will also ask questions about your general health. You will then be asked to undress to your underwear in private, and be provided with a gown, so that a thorough assessment may be carried out examining your nerves, muscles and joints. In some cases it may be necessary to examine your lungs, heart and abdomen, to rule out any other cause of your symptoms.
All British Chiropractic Association (BCA) Chiropractors are trained to take and interpret X-rays. If the Chiropractor requires X-rays in order to help diagnose and treat your condition, the Chiropractor can arrange for these to be taken privately or via your GP.
Before treatment starts the Chiropractor will explain what was found on your examination, discuss the treatment plan and how your condition can be helped.
Once your condition has been explained thoroughly to you, your treatment can begin!
If Chiropractic care is not suitable for you, referral to your GP or other healthcare practitioner will be carried out.
